My first novel of crime fiction was quite popular with my third grade classmates. I studied English literature in college, but my education in writing comes from (and continues with) workshops at places like Literary Arts Portland and Catapult. These experiences helped me earn a contributor position as a queer fashion expert at a short-lived lifestyle website, BoiSociety.com (articles based on a few of the Saturday Style blogs). I was honored to attend Tin House Summer Workshop twice as well as a residency with The Mineral School. I have a novel in a drawer as well as two more in-progress.
